Where oh where has my Mojo gone?

Can anyone help find my Mojo?

I think it is buried under an avalanche of junk on my scrap booking desk.......

Sorry I haven't posted for so long.

Life gets busy and before you know it, months have zipped by.

I had convinced my husband (finally) that we needed some chooks. I wanted three, he said two.

All set to make small chook pen, when he announces (in front of kids) that he would rather get two new cats than have chooks! Bad, bad move!

Before you know it, they were all on the Cat Haven web page, browsing cats for adoption.

So after a trip to the Cat Haven and many cuddles later, we came home with two adorable kittens. Roxy, the grey tabby girl is gorgeous. She loves a cuddle and a nice warm lap. Jimmy, the little black boy, purrs so loud he is like a small tractor engine. He is very frisky and playful and keeps us all entertained. Even the two older girls (cats) have taken to them and play with the Babies.

We have had a new patio built, which was fantastic. It has only taken a year from first quote, demolition of old to new one completed! Finally an undercover area for us to hang out in.

The other thing that has kept us busy is the cat garden we have built as well. It is an area for the cats to play outside safely. They have dirt to dig in, plants to play with and things to climb. We have been introducing them slowly to this area. (Jimmy loves the digging part, he looks like a dog and has dug up many plants).

Since I have started my "Part time" job (four days a week), I have not got as much time to scrapbook. It makes the times I book into Just Scrap booking more important and I try to make the most of it.

I have been enjoying the "Book of Me" classes that Jordie and Lou have been teaching as well. I will take photos of some of my Layouts to show, but not tonight.

So if you happen to see my Mojo moping around anywhere, dust it off, smack it's bum and post it home! I will pay postage, I promise!!!!!!!!!!

I love stitching on layouts, but sometimes it is something I forget to do!!! (Justine would stick me with a needle if she heard me say that)

Another thing I love at the moment is creating your own flowers. I saw an awesome idea today that Jordie will be teaching in her upcoming "Book of Me" class at Just Scrapbooking. I wont spoil it, you'll have to wait and see.........

Had an awesome fun filed day today, doing a few make and takes and helping with the Twiddlybitz demo day at the shop. Nic is so inspiring and all her design team girls' work is amazing. It just makes you want to go "create" in your scraproom. Although, all I am good for creating in mine lately is a mess!!!!!

Iam trying to take photos of my recent layouts. If you have any tips for taking a good layout, let me know?! I cropped them all in Picasa afterwards to cut out back grounds.

Here is an updated version of the price list. I realised afterwards I missed a few of the Moisturisers!

I am looking at possibly going to a few markets or swapmeets, so if you know of any upcoming markets or festivals etc that have stalls, let me know.

I am really excited about doing Mel Forbes class tomorrow at Just Scrapbooking!

I have been slightly distracted from my scrapbooking this week. (oops)

My gorgeous and clever friend, Louise (not Louise from Just Scrapbooking) has started making the most beautiful homemade soaps, moisturiser and lip balms. She makes them in lots of yummy flavours. I have been selling them for her. She loves creating, and I love telling and showing my friends. I just love it, the prices are great and Louise uses all natural products. She has done training courses and has a huge interest in all things natural.

When she told me what commercial soap is made from, I vowed never to by it again! I am now encouraging her to research making other natural products! Tonight she got me try her first Tia Maria Lip Balm, YUM! I am a coffee addict, so this was pure joy! I love being a Guinea Pig! LOL

Before Christmas, when I first tried her moisturising cream, Angie asked (demanded) lip gloss with glitter please. She wanted it like lipstick in a tube. Louise went away and came back just after Christmas with a bag of gorgeous lip balms in a variety of scents for Angie to try and keep. She even made them complete with natural mica instead of glitter! I tried them all and was impressed with how long it keeps your lips moisturised.

With Louise's permission I created some order forms and pricelists and have kind of become an accidental sales rep, unofficially!!

I will post more info soon, as I am setting up email address etc. Will post photos to tease you all though!!!!

Oh my goodness!

What have I done? This blogging stuff is more full on than I thought! I have been researching how to make it all pretty, thanks for your email Jordie! It helped and confused at the same time!

I will try to take photos of some scrapbooking layouts and post them this weekend. I am attending the twelve hour crop tomorrow at Just Scrapbooking, which I am really looking forward to. The girls who regularly scrap there are good fun and we have lots of laughs. Although I might need a helmet if Yvonne is coming, as she likes throwing lollies at me!
Anyway, keep an aye out for photos soon!

First time Blogger

I have been convinced by a very good friend of mine that I should have a blog. So here I am. My name is Naomi and I am a happily married mum of three. I live in beautiful Perth and I am studying at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle. I am studying for a Bachelor in Early childhood Education. I had a semester off in the second have of last year, but heading back to Uni shortly.

I am a Scrapaholic. There, I confessed. I am very lucky that my sister shares my addiction and she owns a scrapbooking shop, only a minute's drive from home. Much to my husbands disgust!
So every week I try to set aside some time for to scrapbook, either at the store (usually) or at home.

After being diagnosed with Depression some years ago, I call scrapbooking my "Therapy". Through scrapping I have met and made lots of new friends who share my passion. I have a weekly outlet and an excuse to get out of the house. I believe, as adults we are not allowed play time, like children are, our creativity is stifled. People often say when they start scrapbooking, that they have no creativity! I think everyone has cretivity. Just some of us don't get the chance to practise it very often as adults.

This blog will be under construction, so bear with me while I try to work it all out.
